A HSA is designed to give consumers more control over their health coverage, enabling them to choose their own doctors and shop around for the best deal on other services and procedures while receiving tax breaks at the same time.

Withdraw money from your Ascend HSA tax- and penalty-free at anytime to use for a variety of medical costs – from doctor visits and prescriptions to dental, vision and lab expenses.

Ascend’s HSA is a draft account, and the credit union offers special checks and a HSA check card to access the account. There is no service charge and no minimum balance to establish a HSA, and the account earns dividends based on the balance.
