Ascend Federal Credit Union Unveils Ascend Amphitheater
23 April 2015
What if every day rocked?
Now it can, thanks to Middle Tennessee’s top credit union and Nashville’s newest outdoor entertainment venue.
The Ascend Amphitheater was unveiled during a media conference today in Nashville.
“Harmonizing the Ascend brand with Nashville’s beautiful new amphitheater is paramount to achieving our strategic intent of being recognized as Nashville’s credit union,” Ascend Federal Credit Union President and CEO Caren Gabriel said.
In the heart of the new Riverfront Park development along the Cumberland River, the Ascend Amphitheater is expected to accommodate 6,800 people. It will host various forms of entertainment – from concerts to comedy shows – and it will be the summer home of the Nashville Symphony. The 12-acre park will be open daily on non-event days and will include trails, a dog park and gardens. The amphitheater is slated for completion this summer.
Gabriel said securing the naming rights of the amphitheater represents a natural progression of the Ascend brand.
“We pursue partnerships that lend stability and trust to our brand, such as being the exclusive credit union of Vanderbilt Athletics,” she said. “Nashville residents are familiar with Ascend through our TV and radio advertisements and the construction of two new financial centers here last year. But, this amphitheater will make the Ascend brand synonymous with Music City USA.”
Ascend is no stranger to Middle Tennessee’s music scene, with partnerships including Bluegrass Underground and Music City Roots.
“We recognize music as a medium that brings people together,” Gabriel said. “Memories will be made here, and we want to be part of that.
“With this amphitheater, Ascend commits to being the credit union of choice for residents of Nashville and Middle Tennessee. And, because our growth objectives are similar to those of this city, we believe the Ascend Amphitheater will be pivotal in securing Nashville’s claim as the entertainment capital of the South.”
