Announcement | 05/11/15

Ascend Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Tullahoma, Tenn., was selected as Federal Credit Union of the Year by the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU). Ascend and other winners in NAFCU’s 2015 Annual Awards Competition will be honored in conjunction with NAFCU’s 48th Annual Conference and Solutions Expo in Montréal, Québec, Canada June 23-26.

“Being chosen as Federal Credit Union of the Year represents a great achievement. I am proud of the strides we have made by continuing to grow across Middle Tennessee and implementing innovative technology to better serve our members.” Ascend President and CEO Caren Gabriel said.

This year’s competition honored the Federal Credit Union of the Year, CEO of the Year, Professional of the Year and Volunteer of the Year in each of two asset-size categories: $250 million or less, and more than $250 million. Ascend was a winner among credit unions with more than $250 million in assets.

“This year’s annual awards winners are remarkable leaders who have set a new bar for excellence in the credit union industry,” NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger said. “NAFCU is proud to honor each of them for their success and commitment to member service and the credit union industry.”

Ascend is a member of NAFCU, the only national organization that focuses exclusively on federal issues affecting credit unions, representing its members before the federal government and the public.

Ascend Federal Credit Union is a full-service financial institution with 17 financial centers in Middle Tennessee. Federally insured by the NCUA, membership is limited.
