STAR (Simple Touch-Tone Audio Response)
When you’re on the go, we’ve got your number. With STAR (Simple Touchtone Audio Response), you can manage all of your Ascend accounts by phone, 24/7.
Call 800-342-3086 or visit any Ascend financial center to receive a temporary personal identification number (PIN). Then, you can access STAR in one of three ways:
• Call 800-342-3086 and select the appropriate menu option when prompted.
• Call STAR directly by dialing 800-342-8663, or
• if it's not long distance for you to call our Tullahoma branch, dial 931-455-8663.
Please note that you will be required to change your PIN the first time you access STAR.
After entering your account number and updating your PIN, you will only be presented with menu options for the credit union products you have. An automated voice guides you step by step through managing your account.
Skip the on-hold music. Use your STAR PIN the next time you call Ascend!
If you’re calling Ascend for basic account info, you can access balance and transaction detail while waiting for assistance.
To take advantage of this feature, simply enter your account number and your STAR PIN when prompted.
What exactly will you be able to check by entering your STAR PIN?
- For balance inquiries, you can listen to:
- Account balances and transactions
- Recent transactions including deposits and withdrawals
- Pending point-of-sale transactions
- For existing loan inquiries, you can listen to:
- Recent transactions
- Loan payoff information
Use SMS/text messages to monitor your account, check account balances, review the last five transactions, and transfer funds between accounts. You can also set-up custom text alerts for your account activity.*
To register for SMS/text messages, log into online banking and click “Additional Services” in the toolbar. In the drop down menu, click “Mobile Banking and Alerts.” Complete the requested fields, and click “Save changes.”
*While Ascend will not charge you for text messages, standard carrier fees for text messaging may apply. Please check with your mobile phone carrier if you aren’t sure what fees apply when you send and receive messages. Please note that while balance inquiries and transactions are real-time, alerts are not. Alerts will only be distributed three times each business day at 8 a.m., noon, and 4 p.m. CST.
